Endovenous Laser Treatment is a treatment alternative to surgical stripping of the incompetent great or small saphenous veins. A thin laser fiber is inserted into the damaged vein. Laser light energy is delivered to the inside of the vein to collapse and seal it shut. The procedure is quick and done in-office under local anesthesia. A compression stocking is placed on the treated leg and return to usual activities is immediate.
